Holiday Art to Remember
Because the holidays are an especially difficult time for our families who don’t feel like celebrating as they’ve done in the past, Michael’s Place offers opportunities for families to create new traditions and rituals that honor the memory of our loved one in a special way.

  • Monday, November 29
  • 6:00 - 7:45 pm (during our regular Support Group meetings)

Adults and children will have the opportunity to create ornaments, decorations, candles and other objects to help us remember our loved ones throughout the holiday season. You may wish to bring an extra picture of your loved one to attach to a candle. You can make an ornament to hang on your tree, or a wreath to place in a special spot in your home or on their gravesite. All craft materials will be provided and we’ll have volunteers to help make the creations. You will only need to bring the memories of your loved one, and a picture if you wish. Adults who prefer to do so may attend their regular support groups instead of working on a project.
