Ellyn Tarrant
Star Dancer

Ellyn Tarrant is a former writer and editor for Traverse Magazine who left her position after giving birth to triplets. She’s now a “career mom” to her 14 children, who she calls the best work she’s ever done. Her story of many blessings took an unexpected turn three years ago when she lost her 19-year-old daughter Keegan to depression and suicide. Since then she has expanded her focus to oversee The Keegan Mission Project, a scholarship fund to help students experience mission work. I am excited to be participating in SwingShift and the Stars because I have experienced first hand what a lifeline Michael’s Place can be for grieving adults, children and families in our community. This organization deserves nothing less than a standing ovation for the kindness, support and healing they offer free of charge, and I’m happy to kick up my heels to give back just a little of the love they’ve shown my family.

JUSTIN KOERTGEN
DANCE INSTRUCTOR

Justin Koertgen danced for the Dayton Ballet for twelve seasons. Justin attended the Interlochen Arts Academy from 1995-2000. Justin has taught all over the country and his choreography has been showcased at Interlochen Center for the Arts, Mercyhurst University, and The Dayton Ballet. Justin has also danced for Ballet Fleming, Charleston Ballet, Ballet Montana, and the Traverse City Dance Project. Justin is currently on faculty at the Interlochen Arts Academy.
