Grief Support Services
Michael’s Place offers grief support services designed to ease the loss of loved ones. Grieving children, teens, and adults often feel disconnected from friends and family members and the use of a support system with others who understand can help them on their journey of healing. It is often easier discussing loss with others who are having similar experiences.
We engage participants in group activities that are creative, positive and productive in order to elicit feelings of comfort and safety in connection to their loss. Children and teens meet in groups based on age and support groups are available to children as young as 4 years old. Adult support groups are available for any loss, including groups specific to suicide and substance-related deaths. We also offer a variety of workshops, events and activities for both children and adults throughout the calendar year.
So that Michael’s Place may learn more about your needs, please contact the staff at (231) 947-6453 or via email at GoodGrief@MyMichaelsPlace.net to schedule an informational visit with one of our clinicians. At that time, you will meet with staff to learn about our programs and services, hear your story, discuss any concerns or answer any questions you may have.
