Grief support sessions create community, safety, and hope.

 

Michael’s Place is currently offering virtual and in-person support opportunities for all ages.
It is asked that you attend an initial informational session prior to coming to your first support group meeting. See below for more details*

 

Virtual Adult Support Group

  • Virtual Support Group-Upcoming Group Dates: May 2nd &16th, June 13th & 27th, July 18th, August 1st.

 

In-Person Adult Grief Support Programs

  • Adult Support Group– Open to any loss
  • Traumatic Loss Group  – Includes loss to suicide, overdose, and accident
  • Women’s Group
  • Faith-Based Grief Support Group – This group has a Christian foundation but all faiths are welcome
  • Grief Support for Adults w/IDD
  • GriefShare- National grief support program offered at Michael’s Place in partnership with East Bay Calvary Church. Learn More.
  • Coffee & Conversation: This is not a formal support group, but an opportunity to gather and share time getting to know each other in a supportive place.
  • Hands-On Healing:  Monthly program that offers a “hands-on” approach, using art and other creative mediums to express grief and connect with others.

This meeting will help you understand more about Michael’s Place and how our groups work. It also helps Michael’s Place learn how to best support you.
